At New Village Farm in Shelburne, youngsters learn about the whole cycle of life, including death. Hear from farm educators about how they teach about raising cows as livestock, not pets; how they approach slaughter from a place of gratitude rather than as an apology; and how they work through different ethical perspectives on meat consumption. We will have roughly an hour of discussion and then people are invited to walk around the farm and hang out. Please bring your own chairs if you can. Open to all ages with parental discretion advised.
